LIFE LATELY AND A VISIT TO BLICKLING ESTATE

Happy Saturday! It's been a while, I missed my Wonderful Wednesday post this week and was gutted because I had SO many good things to talk about. Being ill really does take it's toll on you, I was sent home on Tuesday and just burst in to tears because I felt so off. I didn't have the energy to eat chocolate (I know right), let alone blog.

However, I went to the doctor's on Friday, they told me I had tonsilitis and sent me home with a prescription for penicillin and it seems to be doing the trick, I feel more human already!

On the bright side, at least I got ill now and not in two weeks time when we fly off to New York (touch wood). I don't normally get excited till the week before we go away but I really just want to be on that plane. We have pretty much everything sorted, apart from our City Passes and those dollar dollar bills ya'll (so I watched Nerve this week and it was pretty good, if you're flicking through Netflix and can't find anything, Nerve is the one).

As much as I'm looking forward to New York, coming back will mark the start of myself and G getting our saving groove on. We're going to rent and only need to save for the deposit and some administration fees, so I'm hoping it won't take that long. If we have to live in our bedroom for a few months till we can buy a sofa then that's what we shall do! I just want to finally move out and be in our own space (no offence Mum)

Our bottom drawer has turned in to a bottom closet and THERE IS SO MUCH STUFF. On the one hand, this is a good thing because it means we don't have that much to buy, it's really just furniture left. On the other hand, we are running out of space in the closet and our clothes can't hang properly because there's just so many boxes, all piled up on one another. So yeah...getting our own place and being able to distrubute our shizzle in to several rooms will be real nice.

Whilst I've been off sick, I watched the whole of Girlboss on Netflix (no shame). After being a bit 'meh' about it, I finally just thought screw it, I'll give it a go and guess what? I LOVED IT. I haven't read the Girlboss book and to be honest, I don't really intend to but I loved the series and am hoping there'll be another one to come.

ALSO, OMG HOW COULD I FORGET? Who has seen the season finale of Riverdale? Holy balls. This show is honestly one of my favourites and I can't wait for season two. I love the narration, I love the badass girls (all the Veronica vibes), I love the storylines and all the drama, I love the soundtrack and the boys aren't too bad to look at either. It's just the best.

How cute is that little door? Don't you think it looks like something out of a fairytale?

As you've probably guessed by the title of this post, all the photos here are from a recent trip to Blicking Estate. As we're part of the National Trust, we thought we'd visit one of the sites when we went to Norfolk. We only really explored Blicking Hall and the gardens but it was still lovely. I bagged some bargains at the old bookshop and we indulged in cheese scones and chocolate brownies.

Joining the National Trust was probably one of the best things we've ever done. It's only £8 a month (for a joint membership) and there's so many places dotted around the UK, you'll never run out of places to visit! It's just a nice option when you haven't got anything planned and want to take a little walk somewhere.

G has next weekend off (must be a blue moon) so maybe we'll go for a Sunday stroll around another National Trust site. Got to tick these places of the list!

As for the rest of this weekend, I'm going to finish watching Tarzan. I haven't seen a lot of Disney films (or at least if I have, it was when I was very young and now I have no memory of them) so I thought I'd give some of them a go. Plus, cute animation is bound to make me feel better, right? Then it's lots of pasta and probably a few episodes of Stan Lee's Lucky Man.

Tomorrow, we'll be celebrating my Grandad's upcoming birthday with a good ol' carvery! HASHTAG EXCITEMENT (10 points if you can tell me where that's from)

Anyway, enough about me! How have you all been? What have you been up to lately? Comment below or come and chat to me on Twitter!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys and gals x
