WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY #75

I'm writing this on my Tuesday lunch break. It's been a while since I've had a proper break at work, away from my desk and computer screen, and now I'm really regretting not bringing in a book. Writing this week's Wonderful Wednesday post (and demolishing a pot of joy) will have to do instead!

I feel like I haven't read for SO long. I'm still on Fear, a collection of short stories chosen by Roald Dahl and although I'm enjoying the stories, they're short so they don't last very long and they're not something I can sink my teeth in to. G's back at work today, which gives me about three hours to myself so I think I'll try a new book this evening.

On the plus side, I have been reading a lot more blog posts. I go through spurts of reading and commenting on posts every few days, to not looking at Feedly for about three months. It's been really good to see what everyone has been up to and I've even discovered some new blogs which has been nice. Please recommend your favourites, I'm always on the look out for more lifestyle-y type blogs!

Anyway, enough rambling. Shall we?

wonderful wednesday blog posts

A spontaneous day out

It was hot, I was bothered BUT mine and G's little outing to Whipsnade Zoo was actually rather lovely. The penguins are just so bloody cute (I may have laughed at one which fell down some steps but don't worry, it got back up and didn't appear to be injured). My favourite part of the day was probably sitting at the top of a hill, eating our Tesco meal deals.

Jurassic World

CHRIS PRATT THO.

I haven't actually seen the original Jurassic Park but I loved the last one and the new one is just as good. My mouth hung open a few times and I may have jumped once but its so good. I'm hoping they release a third film!

Love Island

I can't not include this wonderful show on this week's list. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but I love it and I'm so glad it's back on our screens. I DO think that this series is a little staged and it doesn't feel as...natural as the previous series' but I'm still enjoying it, and all the #loveisland tweets on my timeline!

McDonald's Frappé's

Hi, my name is Eleanor and I'm addicted to the McDonald's caramel frappé.

I'm not a tea or coffee drinker at all but I had a sip of G's caramel frappé and instantly fell in love. I'm aware it's only a small amount of coffee and I don't think I'll be ordering Americano's any time soon but it's something different from my usual lemonade or bottle of water. I've had about four over the past week and now I think I'm ready to hit up Starbucks to try one of theirs.

That's all my wonderful bits for this week. Don't forget to check out the rest of the wonder women* to see what's been making their week that little bit more bearable. If you fancy joining in yourself, share your #wonderfulwednesday moments with us on Twitter!
