Blooming El

Oh boy, I think I really need this list this week. I'm in my usual 'October' slump and I hate it, my hormones are all over the place, and the tiniest of things can put me in a bad mood (like my TV deciding not to work during the last 15 minutes of Bake Off).

I'm hoping this little list of wonderful will lift my mood!

A cosy pub evening

Recently, G and I popped to one of our local pubs for ciders and stonebaked pizzas. We sat in a cosy corner and spoke about what the future might hold for us. It was a really lovely evening and the pizzas were to die for!

Autumn leaves

On my way back from the garden centre on Sunday, I drove through some country lanes and spotted a few orange leaves on the trees. I wish I could have pulled over and snapped a few pictures. Autumn is such a beautiful time of year!

A Star is Born

This film. Bloody hell.

I expected to watch a really happy, inspiring film about falling in love and making your popstar dreams come true. I did not expect to be leaving the cinema in floods of tears, IT WAS EMOTIONAL.

The film is superb though and Lady Gaga was spectacular.

Bargain Dungaree Dress

I've been on the hunt for a dungaree dress for YEARS. Every one I tried on just didn't fit right and I kind of gave up hope that I'd ever be able to pull it off.

That was until I found a black dungaree dress in New Look. It was the only one in my size, so I quickly snapped it up and took it to the dressing room.

It actually looked OK! The original price had been crossed out and replaced with an '11', then when I got to the till I was told I was entitled to a further 20% off. Result!

First signs of Christmas

I know, I know. I said the 'C' word, I'm ashamed of myself.

Christmas has been at the back of my mind and I haven't really been that excited about it. However, on Sunday I popped to one of my favourite garden centre's and it was like walking in to a magical Christmas land.

A couple had brought their daughter along to buy her first Christmas decoration and well that just warmed my little heart. Seeing all the bright lights, Christmas trees, and personalised baubles certainly sparked my festive spirit!

That's all for this week! Don't forget to swing by the rest of the wonder women* to see what's been making their little hearts' flutter. If you feel like joining in yourself, share your #wonderfulwednesday moments with us on Twitter!
